Two Quests (Or Eight)

Quest 1: Lego Star Wars II

I loved the first one (Played it on GCN), but when my brother rented this I didn't really care about it...I guess I just played it out with the first and that was good enough for a while...anyway, I got this from the library and am playing it. I've completed all the story of Eps. IV, and either 3 or 4 chapters in the other two. I also got the first one from the library, but I'm going to wait to play that until I beat the second. As far as the actual percentage...I think it's 34 or 36 or so. I've bought quite a few of the characters, mostly the "named" people, plus all the ships. I've only found...four, I believe, red bricks. I haven't done any free plays yet (tho I was doing one but it froze on me), and I haven't gotten more than 6 pieces of any minikit.

Quest(s) 2(-8): King's Quest Collection

For Christmas two years ago, I got a game called King's Quest V. I was worried I would have to have played the others first, but luckily I was fine. It was a great game, but unfortunately it only came with the CD (and the case), but there was a part that asked you to translate something using the instruction booklet. Also, there were two parts where the game would freeze or glitch out. I was able to track which file was messed up, but there wasn't anything I could do about it. So I never finished it. I looked up everything about it, and found out that these games are very popular, and chances of getting any of them at a worthwhile price are next to impossible. So I resigned that I just wouldn't be able to play them...but then I was scanning the Library's games the other day, and saw "King's Quest Collection"! I was happily surprised and quickly put it on hold, and I just barely got it. I haven't played it yet, but I already know at least one of the will be good (there are 7).

Interesting...I just looked in the manual, and it uses DOSBox...I guess these will be exactly in their old format and everything, not even made to work with 2000/XP. Wow.

Also, Rock Band rocks. Not that that's news or anything. Awesome game.

Galaxia

[I intended to post this yesterday...which means that when I say "I was going to post this yesterday" I actually mean the day before yesterday.....ehe....]

Hmm...I was going to post this yesterday[5/19], but my lappy decided to go to sleep before I could finish it...anyway, last night I played Galaxy for a while, and I now know for sure I have 90 stars (I think it was....79 before). I rediscovered how awesome this game is, especially some of the later levels. It's pretty easy to beat off the story mode, but once you start past that it does a really good job of balancing the difficulty, meaning even when it's hard, it's fun. If you have a Wii, you should definitely check it out!

And that's what I was going to write yesterday[5/20]. Today I'm writing about yesterday. I played it some more, and I now have 97 stars and have unlocked all of the galaxies. Only 23 more!

Also, I played Brawl some too, and I made a point to count how many challenges I have left. I've got 12 to go. Also, after playing today, the only Final Smash Trophies I don't have are Diddy's, King Dedede's, Bowser's, and Falco's.

Some sad news as well. The Pinball machine is broken. :( It's not an electronic problem or anything, it just can't sense that all the balls are in there, so it won't start...oh well, at least it means that other guy can't practice either....I should find a machine somewhere to practice on....:P Only problem is the "not free" part...heh, ah well...

TAKE THAT!!!

I finally beat it! Minesweeper on expert! The curse has been lifted!!! :D

My current times:
Beginner - 13s
Intermediate - 91s
Expert - 398s

I've started up Metroid Prime again. I beat the first boss and got the Varia Suit. Not sure on the percentage right now, but I've scanned everything so far as far as I know.

I also completed one more challenge on Brawl. Still didn't get the actual number left tho...

There were a bunch of new demos last time I got on the Nintendo Channel, but they expired yesterday and I didn't get to play any of them (I downloaded one, but on my brother's DS and he took it back before I could). I need to see if there's anything good this time...

I also played an RTS on GameTap, but I'm not in the mood for RTSs right now...I may come back some other time, but while it's awesome, it's not the "SUPERAMAZING" type of game that an RTS has to be to get my attention...ah well. Also am playing Mr. Robot on GameTap, but don't know my progress and I'm not actively playing it.

EDIT: My Beginner and Intermediate times are now 9 and 81 seconds, respectively.

Nintendo Channel

Nintendo released its the Nintendo Channel on the Wii yesterday! It has all sorts of stuff that I don't care to elaborate on, but the most important thing is the ability to download DS demos! This is what I've been waiting for for a long time, as far as channels go. So far I've downloaded the Jam Sessions and Brain Age 2 demos (and I previously downloaded the Flash Focus demo, so I'll be skipping that one). Jam Sessions is actually pretty neat. The limited chords were cruel, but it was still fun to just...."jam" I guess...I hear that the price has dropped to $19.99, so it's actually considerable for purchase...I doubt I will though. I have enough games on that sidebar. :P Brain Age 2 looks like a pretty nice update to the first one, but I won't be buying it unless someone else in the family is interested in it (Mom and Dad have expressed interest in them a couple times, but since I have the DS with me or somewhere in my room most of the time, they can't exactly play a lot...).

Suddenly remembered - I never beat Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. That makes me sad. :(

Well, hopefully they'll update the demos pretty regularly (especially hopefully with some that aren't out yet...). I need to watch some videos...if anything in particular catched my eye, I'll post about it, but don't count on it.

Oh, and a quick note - I've added the Twitter widget to the side (I wanted to add it to the bottom, but I don't know how...). I don't know if I'll keep it up, but it's there for now.

Of Farms, Cards, and Pinball

I realized there was another game I didn't mention that I played some kind of recently: Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. I haven't done much and don't really know how to measure the progress, so unless I play it again (which I doubt I will for a long time), I probably won't be putting it in the sidebar for a while. I went through the first season, got 3 hearts with the brunette girl, got a horse, and a fishing rod. I've only made one recipe - the (fish, radish, milk?) one. I've done the dig several times, but only found one item that he thinks is important. I bought a pond, and planned on buying a chicken and the seed mixer next.

Updates: I got an Insect Queen by trading Insect Imitation to Weevil, so I now have 922 cards. I played a game of pinball before school today and got 4,100,000,000 plus some amount in the hundred thousand and lower slots. I didn't have time to write it down because someone else wanted to play. I think I could have gotten more, but someone came in and started watching and talking about it around 3.5 billion, and I can't play with people watching, and especially not with them talking to me or even just talking about it.

The Forgotten

(Great movie, by the way)

I thought of a couple games I forgot last time.

First, The Hobbit. I would probably be long finished with this, but I want to read the book before I play the game, so I only went as far as I am in the book. I'm about....4 or 5 levels in. I don't really remember much about it.

Second is Psychonauts, for the PC (using GameTap. Free! :D). I've beaten the story and now am just working on ranking up and the other collectibles. I'm not actively playing it though, so this probably will get very few updates.

Update: I beat another intermediate puzzle on Yu-Gi-Oh!. Only one left now!
